Florida Resurrection House

St. Petersburg, FL

Florida Resurrection House works to end the cycle of generational poverty and build long term stability for families by offering safe and peaceful transitional housing, providing intensive case management, connecting families with trauma counseling, incorporating life-skills and continuing educational programs, and acting as a supportive community while families do the hard work of changing their lives.

The process of life transformation is complicated but we have found a few important areas of focus that often lead to long term sustainability for our families that graduate:

HOUSING
Participants are provided a safe and secure living environment on our campus in our transitional apartment community so they can focus on implementing their plan to lead successful, productive lives.

COUNSELING
We believe mental health is crucial to long-term sustainability. Participants are encouraged to engage in counseling so they might tackle with courage past traumas. This is achieved through partnerships with community mental health agencies.

CHILDHOOD EDUCATION
We believe access to extra educational opportunities early is crucial for children to break the cycle of generational poverty. On our campus, tutoring along with access to art & music programming, and learning through play is offered to every child.

CASE MANAGEMENT
Participants develop a plan to become self-sufficient by establishing achievable goals and creating an individualized action plan to accomplish those goals. A case manager works with families to provide accountability in the process.

EDUCATION
We educate participants on important life skills such as: financial literacy, health care and nutrition, calm parenting, stress management, and more. Participants are also connected with educational opportunities at P-Tech, SPC, and USF-St. Pete.

PERSONAL GROWTH
Our goal for each participant is to offer a safe environment for personal growth to include healthy bodies, minds, hearts, and souls. To this end we offer opportunities to work on introspection and self-care as we work to become whole and integrated individuals.
