Community Forward Golden Gate for Seniors

Seniors are the fastest growing part of the homeless population, comprising 35% of all individuals sleeping on the street. Older adults face different challenges with addiction and homelessness – but sometimes, this also means an opportunity for change.

Golden Gate For Seniors has 18 beds that serve homeless seniors while providing residential substance abuse treatment tailored to their needs. Clients, all 55 and older, are given counseling, therapy, and group recovery sessions, along with housing. Residents stay an average of six months and follow an individually tailored recovery plan.
